Audio Visual Entrainment

WHAT IS AUDIO VISUAL ENTRAINMENT (AVE)?

AVE uses visual and auditory stimulation to guide the brain into various brainwave states. These brainwaves states are in the frequency range of 1-40 Hz.  In this technique flashing lights deliver stimulation to the eyes through special eyesets (goggles) and pulsing tones deliver stimulation to the ears through headsets.  When the frequency stimulation occurs the brain works to get in sync with those frequencies by speeding up or slowing down. As this happens the brain is strengthening those desired neural pathways.

Video presentation by Dave Siever, AVE inventor.   An overview of how the AVE works and conditions it is supportive of.

WHAT CAN AUDIO VISUAL ENTRAINMENT BE USED FOR?

SYMPTOM REDUCTION:
Clinical studies have shown AVE to be safe and effective in treating a variety of symptom-related conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Seasonal Affective Disorder, Post-Concussion Syndrome, migraine headaches, TMJ and other muscle tension, emotional and behavioral dysregulation in children, cognitive and memory decline, fibromyalgia and chronic pain.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT:
Studies also support the use of AVE to facilitate peak athletic performance, peak academic performance and general cognitive and emotional well-being.

WHAT’S HAPPENING DURING AN AVE SESSION?

During a typical AVE session brainwave activity is being altered through the frequency synchronization process.   Sessions last on average from 20-45 minutes depending on the protocol being used. The beneficial effects of this process are:

Increased cerebral blood flow (critical for healthy brain functioning)

Stabilization of the limbic system (aids in emotion regulation and memory)

Stimulation of production of neurotransmitters (facilitates strong, consistent communication between brain networks)

Increased autonomic nervous system calming

Excitation of neural networks (no more sluggish functioning!)

Reestablishment of neural networks (because if you don’t use it, you lose it!)

HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE RESULTS?

It can vary depending on what you are using the AVE for and how often you are using it.   Research suggests that, in general, results can be noticed in 2 to 4 weeks if you use the AVE 5 times per week.  However, some people will notice results in as little as 1 session of use. And, because you are building neural pathways the results can be permanent!

WHAT AUDIO VISUAL ENTRAINMENT SERVICES ARE OFFERED AT BHAKTI BRAIN HEALTH CLINIC?

IN-CLINIC SESSIONS:
AVE is often used during a client session in adjunct with neurofeedback training, psychotherapy, massage, chiropractic care or acupuncture.  But, it is also provided as a stand-alone service. So, you can come in and do an Audio Visual Entrainment session in the relaxed environment of our wellness clinic.

RENTAL:
Since best results from Audio Viisual Entrainment occur with frequent use (recommended 5 days a week for 2-4 weeks) we offer rental options on our AVE units.   For convenience you can rent a unit on a weekly basis. This allows you to use the AVE unit as recommended AND when it is most convenient for you. No hassle with scheduling and trying to find time to fit it into your busy schedule!

PURCHASE:
Many people find that they are experiencing great benefits from AVE and want to be able to utilize it on a more long-term basis.  For some it becomes a daily routine, others want the option of being able to use it “as needed”. To accommodate this request, we offer Audio Visual Entrainment units for sale.  Our goal is your health and well-being and we recognize that the autonomy of having your own unit is one way to facilitate this goal.
