Claire is licensed in Minnesota as a Professional Clinical Counselor and has been practicing counseling and psychotherapy for over 17 years. She added health coaching to her practice in 2007, after completing studies for a graduate certificate in health coaching at the Center for Spirituality and Healing. She is also an approved supervisor for the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.

As an integrative holistic practitioner, Claire works from client-centered, bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. Integrative mental health care makes use of all available scientifically proven alternative methods in combination with conventional therapies to support healing and maintain optimal health. Interactions of mind and body are understood as central to the healing process and whole health. Focus is on the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social, and spiritual factors can directly affect health. Emphasis is given to the sacredness of the therapeutic relationship, the power of the “healer within,” the healing capacity of a healthy mind, and the influence of lifestyle habits on mind-body health.

Claire applies a variety of approaches to whole person wellbeing strategies involving issues such as stress, pain, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life & health crisis support, life transitions, and whole life balance.

Claire has long been passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and interested in alternative and complementary healing practices. Her training in psychology and health coaching enable her to share her passion and be of service to others. She especially enjoys contributing to the training and development of counselors and health coaches.
