Carole Cohen, MS OTRL
More About Carole Cohen:
With over 30 years of clinical experience and 14 years teaching in a college OT program, I am able to treat a variety of patients with physical and cognitive impairments. Patients have told me that I am warm and down to earth, while maintaining a high level professional competency. I love the work I do, and look forward to working with new patients every day!
Often, I am asked, “What is the difference between me and a physical therapist?” This is a common question because our therapy overlaps in many ways. However, OT has many differences on our approach and the activities we use to achieve patient goals. I specialize in the treatment of chronic pain, postural alignment, and back pain. I also have extensive experience working with brain injuries, strokes and orthopedic injuries.
Together with my patients, we set therapy goals that address every area of their life: physical abilities, daily life skills, stress and pain management, etc. I utilize treatment techniques such as, soft tissue and muscle stretching, joint range of motion, edema massage, and postural alignment exercise, just to name a few. In addition to hands on treatment, I include education of proper body mechanics, sleep hygiene, and adaptive techniques to complete life activities with less pain and limitations.
Please call me or set an appointment through Bhakti services. I am happy to start with a phone consultation at any time. Thank you for your consideration!
