4 Week Meditation Course, From movie – Walk With Me
This course blends the wisdom of the ancient traditions with the knowledge of modern science. We will explore the boundless dimensions of our infinite Self while respecting the reality and needs of our finite structured self. As we learn the techniques used to explore the ageless question, “Who Am I?” we will also learn modern psychodynamic techniques for taking responsibility for the impact this questioning has on our personality.
The primary reason people stop meditation is no one prepared them for the results of meditation. At the end of this course you will have a skills set to maintain your practice, to grow and deepen in this graceful mysterious process of Self recognition.
- What is meditation and what it is not
- Bhakti – devotion to the truth of who you are
- Spiritual materialism – concern for what you will get
- Superego – the inner critic
- Identification – what keeps us stuck
- The Witness – the inner observer
- Self-conscious self-reflection vs. conscious self-reflection
- Monkey Mind – mind as activity
- Maya- the illusion of the separate self
- Ego – the apparent separate self
- Self – that which is beyond the ego
We will explore the following foundational practices:

Medicine Buddha Empowerment & Dharma Teaching
with Vajracharya ZhiChan, Charlotte M. Steen
When: Sunday December 3rd, 10 am to 5 pm
Where: Bhakti Wellness Center
Medicine Buddha Dharma is an ancient Buddhist practice for healing, protection, the prevention of illness and disease; to extinguish disaster, extend life, and to bring forth good luck.
The complete Medicine Buddha teaching is unique to the Chinese Esoteric school and has historically only been taught to initiated disciples in the lineage. Because of the recent appearance of diseases in the world, the Mahacharya has decided to break from tradition and to transmit the complete teaching to non-disciples. The general public now has the opportunity to learn this powerful practice previously only available to a select few.
This practice is a prerequisite to many advanced practices and requires an abhis’eka transmission from a Vajracharya of the school. The beginner depends upon the Enlightened Masters of the Dharma lineage to perform the techniques.
You will learn:
- The Medicine Buddha meditation practice for yourself.
- The Medicine Buddha healing technique for others.
- The Air Purifier Technique.
- The Water Purifier Technique.
- The Food Purifier Technique.
Many students, including the instructor, have practiced the Medicine Buddha Extinguish Disaster & Prolong Life Practice with miraculous results. Anyone who seeks the teaching is welcome.
Tuition offering: $300, includes abhis’ekha offering, empowerment, full dharma transmission and guidebook.
